Not even riveting, no protagonist, boring but....
the FAA says you gotta have it so 100% recommend lol.
Havent read it, but I needed it to fly a plane
10/10 - Passed my check-ride without reading it. I would like to thank my CFI, Youtube, and Flight Simulator for helping me get my PPL. It also provides great flight bag flair when you open it up and this hefty manual is there. Gives passengers confidence.
This thing saved my life!
It was a cold winter night and I was completely lost on a hike I had began that morning. I had been walking for hours and hypothermia was beginning to set in. I found a small overhang from a towering rock wall and sat down. I knew my time would come to an end if I didn't do something. I cracked open this baby I quickly tore out the pages talking about making radio calls at an untowered field (everyone else does this upon arrival) and used the pages to start a fire!

Actually, in all seriousness, ASA does a good job listing all the updates and changes from the prior year in the first page to make it easy for you. And ASA makes a well made book with quality pages that stand up to highlighting and marking/tabbing. Good resource for staying and flying legal. I also have a online app version for my phone, which is great and faster for looking things up on the fly, but having a backup hardcopy paper version of anything has been so deeply ingrained during my PPL training that I also buy a paper version every other year. The snazzy pictures of complex and high performance planes that have graced the covers over the years is pretty cool, but it'll be a lot cooler to maybe one day see a beat up club trainer plane on the cover, like a tired 172 or a rickety Piper Warrior.
Excellent publication, Amazon packaged it poorly and it got beat all to hell during shipping
The FAR/AIM publication is a must for pilots and it's an excellent publication. Unfortunately Amazon packaged it poorly- simply dropped it into a very loose-fitting box with zero packing and so it got beat to hell during shipping. I was so disgusted I threw it in the trash and bought a new copy locally (which is what I should have done in the first place). So, A+ for the publication, F- for Amazon's shipping.

As good as it can be
C172 pilot says get this one!
Well this one is hard to review- I can tell you rules and regulations are DAUNTING, however you got to learn them if you’re in the process of studying to be or currently a pilot! Not anything creative here- just a suggestion: get this book and use as a resource. Sincerely, your favorite C172 pilot
Excellent Quality!
Full color graphics where needed, quality paper, well made copy of the ol’ pilot standard. This is my 22nd annual copy and it’s just what it needs to be. :-)
