These are great kitchen shears! They have a large, comfortable handle. (I have small hands and still prefer these over our other shears). They cut well and come to a nice, sharp point. They are quite a bit better than the more expensive kitchen shears we've purchased from Amazon, and we've tried quite a few.

I LOVE THESE KITCHEN SHEARS! After my beloved kitchen shears came up missing, I was forced to buy a crappy $0.88 pair to get me through. I hated those things, but because I only thought about them when I had to use them, I forgot to replace them for the longest time. Thus, a well-honed hate for them was developed and I swore I wouldn't buy another pair without plenty of research. That research yielded the KitchenAid KC351OHGSA Multi-Purpose Scissors, so I bought them. BEST. KITCHEN. SHEARS. EVER. These things cut everything I've thrown at them. They're easy to clean, fit in my butcher block, and are built very solidly. If you've been stuck with a pair you hate, buy these!

I bought these a year and a half ago for $7.99. I chose to write a review now because I had purchased another pair of stainless steel scissors from a different company for about a dollar less at the same time and I am throwing them away because they are rusting. I use these scissors at least once a day in my kitchen. They still look and work great. They have a nice heft to them and I have never sharpened them in spite of not treating them gently. I suspect the serrated edge has something to do with the prolonged sharpness but I don't know for sure. I wasn't sure I'd like the extra step of using the cover and expected to lose it quickly but I still use it every time. It not only protects but there is something satisfying about the way it clicks into place. The action of the scissors has never been too loose or tight. They are so popular in my family that they frequently sprout wings and disappear in spite of my strong requests that they stay in our kitchen so I have them when I need them. I have just purchased two more pairs of Kitchenaid scissors to hopefully allow these to not fly off so often.

Was shopping for a pair of all purpose scissors, thinking it would be nice to find a pair with the quality of these kitchen scissors, which, according to Amazon, I bought five years ago. They are holding up very well (although I've never tried cutting chicken bones with them). They are still tight and sharp despite daily use all that time. They are by far my favorite scissors, and I often use them for other cutting tasks around the house when the other scissors aren't up to the job. I'm ordering a second pair to use as all-purpose scissors around the house.

Sturdy kitchen shears for the money. Only drawback is that the handholds are just a little small. Pros: - seems sturdy, used them on a chicken and they cut clean and quickly - fairly easy to clean. They are dishwasher safe and survived the first couple of times in the dishwasher. Saw complaints of spotting and rust after being put in the dishwasher, I have not seen that happen yet. - the plastic guard is nice if these are store in the all purpose drawer in the kitchen. Cons: - the hand grips are a little small. Not enough to get your hand stuck but it is a tight fit for a medium sized hand. If you have oven mitts for hands, these will likely be too small for you.

Bought two pair - instantly useful, as I used the first pair to open the second pair - and I'm quite pleased with them. I bought them to replace a pair of utility shears that were largely plastic, with metal blades attached to the plastic, that gave way after a few years of basic service. I wanted something I could resharpen, and something that wouldn't break quite so readily under actual strain. My only complaint, and it's not much of one, hence the rating, is that I can't take them apart to wash them. It's not a requirement for my purposes, and given the price, it's a triviality. Looking forward to years of service from these...

Where you put your fingers to cut has rubber lining which keeps the scissors from sliding when your hands are wet. Nice touch. Cuts meat very well and I love that it coordinates perfectly with my other gray appliances and kitchen items

So far, this is a full 5 stars for these. They are larger than I expected, the handles have an excellent feel, not the flexible ones, but they don't feel like cheap hard handles either. The blades are longer and wider than I expected, and the sheath is a thick plastic that snaps on when you push the blades up in it. I have a VERY nice pair of Wusthof break apart scissors that I keep solely for indoor veggies and their blades sit in the supplied cardboard sleeve. I almost think they made a mistake with the pricing on these. I'm very happy with them, and they are my general kitchen shears. If I can tout them like this in 6 months, they'll be replacing other shears (NOT my Wusthof's, but there's a quality AND price difference justification there) and I'll be buying them as gifts.

These come with a cover which is awesome if you have little kids in the house and don't want them cutting themselves on the sharp blades. And the cover seems pretty durable. The scissors are comfortable to hold and cut easily on all of the products I've used so far, most of which have been bags of frozen meat or other foods that I needed to open. In order to safe some money, I ordered one of the colors over the black and it makes them super easy to find in my utensil drawer among all of the black gadgets. I would buy another pair if I needed them. But my favorite part is that they come with a cover for the blades.

I'm a big fan of kitchen shears and bought these almost exactly a year ago. All along, I've been super impressed with how sharp and well made they are. Today, however, they reached the pinnacle of bad*ss. After weeks of trying to find something that would cut a heavy rubber pond liner, I decided to try these. Four hours later, most of an 8 ft. X 8 ft. heavy-ply pond liner is in pieces, and I'm totally trashed, but the shears aren't. They're still sharp. That's beyond bad*ss. I'm buying another pair right now, in case they ever stop making them.
