Great filament prints well
I don't normally leave reviews but after reading through some one the most recent reviews I figured I would put my two cents in. I have purchased about 5 reels of the hatchbox 1.75 gray filament and used approximately 4 of them so far. I run my Makergear M3 ID in dual duplication mode constantly and use this filament for 90% of my prints. I run my printer almost 24/7 and have not had any issue with this filament other than having a tangle after I forgot to use the end holder and took a spool off to switch colors and it unraveled from the spool (like all filament does) and got a tangle. Not sure what problems others have had but I really like this filament. My only complaint is that I have ordered it and it wasn't in stock and had to wait on a back order.

My choice of filament
I have tried alotnof filament, and i now use hatchbox. Other brands usually work okay, but if you want to leave your printer for 5 days while printing somthing don't you really want to know that your filament isnt going to jam and that the print will be made of quality plastic once it is done? I know that i do and thats why I almost exclusively buy hatchbox... unless i need a particular color or material property.

Prints well like all Hatchbox products.
I have printed a few designs with this filament, and have no issues. I like the grey as it is a neutral color and takes paint well. I had no adhesion or other issues. The actual measurement is a bit larger than 1.75mm according to my calipers but no issues with the print head or anything like that. I'm printing the PLA at 130C and the bed at 60C. Nice and strong, no smells, a delight to use.

The Best PLA on Earth!
I've had several 3D printers over the past 6 years and have used many different brands of filament (PLA mostly). Hatchbox is hands-down, the best I've ever used. Not only is the quality of the filament top-notch and trouble-free on my Flash Forge Creator Pro, but the price has even gotten better over the years! Within the last year and a half or so they even improved the spindle that the filament comes on. That may not seem like a big deal, but it is. The center part of the old spindles was smaller in diameter. Meaning that that last 15-20% of the filament was wound more tightly than the rest and when un-wound, it had a tendency to snap off (usually mid-print). This made the end of each spindle practically useless. Fortunately, Hatchbox has increased the diameter of the spindle which has resolved the issue. I love supporting companies that constantly improve their products! Like the title says, Hatchbox is the best there is!

Really great filament to learn on!
I am new to 3D Printing so it was pretty much sheer dumb-luck that landed this filament into my cart and then lap. I assembled my Ender 3 Pro over the course of a couple evenings, and by the weekend I was ready to start making figures and terrain. I read up on the slicer, plugged in the figures for both the printer and the PLA, took a figure I designed through the slicer and hit print. Pure garbage. Not what you were expecting, but the truth. I had a lot to learn about leveling and layer thicknesses, infill and speed. Eventually things began to improve as I made little corrections (and some major ones). And bam, my prints started coming out, just as I wanted and this filament is SO MUCH BETTER than the cheap stuff I had been using. The cheap stuff was brittle and pieces would snap with very little pressure. The Hatchbox Gray is a little more forgiving, allowing me to clean up my prints without breaking off little arms and legs. Still learning, but think Hatchbox PLA will be my regular go to for quite a while.

has a great finish, is consistently the stated diameter (I check ...
Surprised with the negative reviews on this PLA. I use Hatchbox EXCLUSIVELY and have done so for 2 years. I print cosplay props and armored suits for a living and there is NO SUBSTITUTE for this stuff in this price range. Having tried many brands I settled on Hatch along time ago. That said, I can go through up to 4-6 spools of Hatchbox a week. Both in 1.75 and 3.0mm diameters (I own 2 Creality CR-10's and a Lulzbot Taz 6). Call me lucky, but I have never had a tangled spool, but I can see that happening with any manufacturer. As far as brittle or ugly prints, you need to tune your profile if that's happening. I can print a helmet at 40% infill and throw it across the shop with no damage. Thigh pieces, boots...all have accidentally fallen off a table or two...the thighs from 6 feet....again no damage. Not indestructible, but VERY strong even without oven annealing. This PLA is strong, has a great finish, is consistently the stated diameter (I check with calipers), and does not warp like others I have tried. Parts have survived shipping to France from the U.S.! I use the silver, gray and black colors primarily. No, I'm not a paid reviewer. I was actually about to order 6 rolls when I saw a pretty negative review of this stuff and thought "nonsense." If you're thinking about getting some, do it.

PLA Grey Printed Flawlessly
Beautiful filament. I love the color as it works well with automotive primer filler and the shadow contrast works great for time-lapse photography. I didn't have any issues with tolerance and everything printed consistently. That paired with two day shipping and relatively low melt temp (190 C) you can't go wrong. Will buy again.

Excellent PLA
So far I've only used Amazon basics PLA, which I love, and Hatchbox's Wood PLA, but I have to say this stuff is great! I was worried at first because the spool looked tangled but so far it's been working like a charm! I'm also very pleased with the shade of Grey that this is, not too light or too dark. NOTE: I'm using a Creality Ender 3 at 215/60 temps

Wow, goes on perfectly smooth with no surprises.
Pleasantly surprised with this filament where I've been able to print minis on my Original Prusa MK3 without any errors. With a properly calibrated first layer and a 60c bed on PEI, I consistently get a perfectly smooth first layer that doesn't even show any lines. Only filament where I've been able to achieve this! My only problem is that now I don't ever want to use my other filaments so they are going to waste! Once this spool hit the printer, I haven't removed it and have done all prints in this color!

Hatchbox is a hassle-free filament that is always consistent and reliable
When I started 3D printing a lot, I tried a bunch of different filaments in the $15 to $25 per kg range. About a year and a bunch of different brands later, I am using exclusively Hatchbox PLA now. Every color I've tried always yields the same high-quality print, clog-free so far. The colors are vibrant and extremely consistent batch to batch. Spools of Hatchbox always ship quickly - I have yet to find a better value for PLA filament.
